Australia Awards scholarships are prestigious international awards offered by the Australian Government to the next generation of global leaders for development. Through study and research, recipients develop the skills and knowledge to drive change and help build enduring people-to-people links with Australia.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Palauan citizens who are interested in studying at an Australian tertiary institution and are currently residing in Palau.
Five scholarships for Palauan citizens are available for the 2027 intake:
- two (2) undergraduate awards;
- two (2) postgraduate awards; and
- one (1) undergraduate aviation management.
PRIORITY FIELDS OF STUDY
The priority areas of study are:
- Health
- Information and Communications Technology
- Infrastructure Development and Management
- Fisheries Management
- Engineering (Electrical Engineering)
- Surveying and Mapping or Geodetic Engineering
- Agriculture
- Education
- Law
- Aviation Management (Griffith University)
- Maritime studies or Marine Transportation studies
WHAT DOES THE SCHOLARSHIP COVER?
Scholarship recipients will receive the following:
- Return air travel
- One-off establishment allowance on arrival
- Full tuition fees
- Contribution to living expenses (CLE)
- Introductory academic program (IAP)
- Overseas Student Health Cover for the duration of the scholarship (OSHC)
- Supplementary academic support
- Fieldwork allowance (compulsory fieldwork only)

- Visit Institution Search (education.gov.au) to research more on your preferred institution and if they offer your field of study
- Download a referee report (1 for undergraduates, 2 for postgraduates)

- TOEFL: 84 with a minimum of 21 in all subtests
- IELTS: 6.5 with no band less than 6.0
- PTE: 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50
APPLICATION DEADLINE
All applications must be submitted through OASIS by Tuesday 30 June 2026 4.00pm (Koror Time) for consideration. Late submissions will not be considered.
SELECTION PROCESS
Shortlisted applicants will be called for interviews.
Successful candidates will be notified in late 2026.
